Sarah received her B.A. in Psych from MUN and moved from Newfoundland to Calgary in 2007. She was an in-home aide for 5 years before finishing her Master’s degree in Psychology and becoming a Psychologist.
Sarah is a Registered Psychologist with 15 years experience in the field and has dedicated her career to working with those who have a diagnosis, as well as their families. She has worked in homes, schools, and clinics, in addition to other professionals such as psychiatrists, Speech and Language Pathologists, occupational Therapists and teachers to name a few. She also has experience working in a wide age range, from as young as 18 months up to 73 years of age and has been trained in a variety of therapies such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma based therapies, play based therapy, Brief Solution Focused therapy, family centered therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis.
Sarah holds a deep sense of compassion, empathy, and an understanding that therapy is an essential part of the holistic approach. She has been told that she can make the environment and situation calmer by simply being present. Her goal is to help my clients feel comfortable and at ease opening up about what they would like to work on.
